Mikelo Cove, mnistrito da Edução do Reino Unido, aparece aí com um discurso em Inglês (brevemente começará a discursar em Latim de praia), a regorgitar retórica de bolso roto, demagogia fascista, e populismo enibreado.
Diz este homem do apparatchik do Reino Camarão ter encontrado o Santo Gral e a Pedra filosofal. Promete transformar os alunos desobedientes e maturros em cordeirinhos mansinhos e ainda com mais matéria cinzenta do que o Einstein. E tudo isto sem varinha mágica!
Sabem como?
Antes de vos contar isso, vou primeiro dizer que nem O Mnistro Couve nem o Davi Camarão estão minimamente interessados no desenvolvimento pessoal ou académico da plebe.
Eles apenas querem privatizar o ensino público e tudo à sua volta e longe para depois reencaminhar o cacau do erário público para as algibeiras dos milionários. Mais nada preocupa as mentes deles.
Voltando ao assunto, afirma o homem de letras, batendo com os punhos na secretária, que para metamorfosar os alunos rebeldes em cientistas, basta apenas mudar o nome das escolas estatais para escolas privadas iguais às de Eton e Harrow. E pronto, aí estão as melhores escolas e os melhores alunos do Reino Unido e do Mundo, sem a Escócia, porque esta está farta de palavreado roto.
MILAGRE! Só que depois quando os resultados começarem a aparecer, quer dizer, ainda piores do que agora, o learned mnistro já terá sido sacudido do mnistério, estará de férias nas praias de águal azul e cristalina dos mares mansinhos das caraíbas, à sombra de uma bananeira, e dirá que ele não é responsável porque já não é mnistro e portanto não fará declarações.
Obviamente que se o dinheiro emigrar para as contas dos milionários não será obviamente investido nas escolas e irá produzir mais dinheiro para os milionários e não produzir bons alunos -- obviously. It´s a no brainer e não é preciso ser nenhum Einstein to work out the arithmetic.
Mais que o discurso boring de Mikelo Cove vamos elucidar o estimado leitor, em duas ou três linhas, como se faz uma boa e um bom aluno:
Um cozinheiro precisa de bons ingredientes para preparar um bom prato: Do mesmo modo, um professor precisa de bons alunos para fazer uma boa escola. Não é a escola que faz os alunos, são os alunos que fazem a escola.
O que é que pode fazer uma escola quando lhe caiem ali alunos a quem os pais nunca ensinaram um á?
As crianças chegam ali já cansadas do cérebro po terem rebentado com o miolo já na primária por não terem apoio escolar nenhum em casa. Ou você que é pai e você que é mãe está à espera que os seus filhos se desenvolvam academicamente só com o ensino da professora! Então fie-se na virgem e não corra!
As crianças chegam ao ensino do segundo ciclo e segundário já desmotivadas e como se isso não bastasse, já corrompidas pelo consumerismo desmedido, e querem é ir trabalhar para ganhar dinheiro imediato e comprar stuff. E vocês pais deixaram caçar as vossas crianças pelos mercantilistas e não as conseguiram ajudar na escola nem incutir o gosto pelo saber o qual produzirá fruto a longo prazo e a todos os níveis.
nos dias de hoje, um adolescente que abandona o ensino antes dos vinte e tal anos, fracassou ou fizeram-no lindamente fracassar o seu projeto pessoal de desenvolvimento e académico.
Então como resolver a quadratura do círculo? Não espere por milgres e ainda menos pela varinha mágica de Mikelo Couve.
Se vocês pais não têm pelo menos o 9 ano do ensino Português ou o GCSE do sistema Britânico terão de o tirar. Mas melhor seria ainda o 12 ano Português ou o A level Inglês. Doutro modo os seus filhos estarão mais ou menos entregues a eles próprios e andarão ali a sofrer na escola e a tentar sair daquela tortura o mais depressa possível.
Sim, você terá de estudar agora porque não o fez antes e deveria tê-lo feito. E isso é um dos vossos deveres como pais. Ou então tiveram ciranças, mas deviam era ter comprado um cãozinho, um peixe vermelho ou apanhar ou grilo e por numa gaoila para cantar gri-gri-gri. Pelo menos nenhuma criança sofria convosco.
Lembrem-se que as crianças precisam de alimentação para o crescimento físico e de alimento para o desenvolvimento mental. E como poderão vocês dar-lhes este alimento se tiverem as vossas cabeças ocas?
Nós no Cartesiano falamos assim porque defendemos as crianças e queremos que elas cresçam e se desenvolvam harmoniosamente e com feilicidade.
Mas ainda falta dizer algo sobre o que o mnistro Inglês não disse: nem a escola Eton, Harrow, Oxbridge e companhia limitada são as melhores escolas.
Só que estes fulanos são milionários e conhecem-se todos uns aos outros, são da mesma tribo. Eles caçaram o poder e os lugares todos de destaque e depois chamam para lá os amigos.

Fecham-lhe a porta e você não entra, fica fora, na rua e até acabar a vender bilhetes na biblheteira do metrô, quando você tem uma formação em economia.
É isto mesmo que gera as revoluções, quando uma minoria deita a mão ao poder e depois não o larga. A história está cheia de exemplos destes.

Michael Gove outlines his aim to break down the "Berlin Wall" between state and private schools
State schools in England should be more like private schools, says Education Secretary Michael Gove.
In a speech in east London, he says he wants to break down the "Berlin Wall" between state and independent sectors.

This could see state pupils taking the private school common entrance exam and state schools staying open longer.
Mr Gove has been embroiled in a row over the replacement of
the Ofsted chair and has been warned against surrounding himself with
"yes men".
The education secretary, speaking at the London Academy of
Excellence, says that for decades "the dominant consensus has been that
state education in England was barely satisfactory".
Global tests
But now he says the state system is improving, with better results, more pupils taking tougher subjects and fewer weak schools.
Mr Gove says that commentators had associated state schools with "poor discipline, low standards, entrenched illiteracy, widespread innumeracy", but he says that this "pessimistic view is no longer tenable".
He says he wants schools to be able to stay open longer for
nine or 10 hour days. This would allow more time for after-school
activities or to provide a place for children to do their homework.
Academies, which are now the majority of secondary schools, can already set their own hours.
He called for more testing, including taking the common entrance exam taken by 13 year olds in some private schools.
Mr Gove backed plans for individual secondary schools to be able to take the OECD's international Pisa tests.
"Our heads and teachers can, if they choose, check how well their pupils are performing compared to their peers - not just down the road - but on the other side of the globe, in Shanghai or Singapore," says Mr Gove.

Mr Gove denied claims his team had briefed against the inspectorate, which in turn had been welcomed by Sir Michael who said he would defend his team against "unfair criticism".
A previous Ofsted chief inspector, Sir David Bell, has also issued a warning to Mr Gove to not "to believe his own hype".
Writing for website The Conversation, Sir David Bell said Mr Gove should not surround himself with "yes men".

'Cut off' Sir David warned the education secretary of the risk of becoming isolated by listening only to supporters.
"The day-to-day grind of policy battles, firefighting and political ding-dong can start to cut you off from outside ideas and thinking.
"The row over Ofsted's leadership shows the importance of retaining and being seen to retain independent voices near the top - not simply 'yes men'," wrote Sir David, who is now the vice chancellor of the University of Reading.
Sir David said Mr Gove should not dismiss all critics of his education policy but should engage with those offering an "intelligent critique".
On Sunday, Mr Gove said he had appointed Baroness Morgan, and despite the fact he felt she had done a "fantastic job" the position needed a "fresh perspective".
Baroness Morgan, who has not had her term in office renewed, told the BBC she was the victim of a "determined effort from Number 10" to appoint more Tories.

suggest it's a political move".
Sir David also had tough words about teachers' unions, saying their "political naivety has been astonishing".
"Their barrage of industrial action and knee-jerk opposition to any change has allowed the education secretary and his supporters to characterise them as cartoon-like bogeymen," he writes.
Sir David was part of a group of business leaders and academics who published a report last week calling for a more independent, non-political approach to education policy.
Responding to Mr Gove's speech on Monday, Labour's shadow education secretary, Tristram Hunt, said: "Improving school standards starts with a qualified teacher in every classroom. Until Michael Gove commits to this, he is ruling himself out of any serious debate about how we raise standards in our schools.
"Whether on discipline, delivering extra-curricular activities or on improving learning outcomes: it all hinges on the quality of the teacher in the classroom. Raising the quality of teaching - that is where the focus needs to be and that is what Labour is concerned with. The Tories have lost sight of this and are undermining school standards as a result."
Christine Blower, leader of the National Union of Teachers, challenged the idea of state schools using the common entrance exam.
"Why would we imagine that that is an appropriate examination? He's not discussed that with anybody, he's not discussed it with any of the exam boards, he's certainly not discussed it with the representatives of teachers," said Ms Blower.
