WHY DO THE SCOTS WANT TO WALK OUT OF THE UNITED KINGDOM ?

SIMPLE: THE SCOTS WANT SOCIAL JUSTICE, AND SEE IN THEIR SCANDINAVIAN NEIGHBOURS THE RIGHT MODEL FOR SCOTLAND.

THEY KNOW THAT AS LONG AS THEY ARE RULLED BY WESTMINSTER, THEY WILL NEVER GET THAT, BECAUSE THE LABOUR PARTY HAS NOT PRODUCED THAT TYPE OF DEMOCRACY, AND, EVEN WORSE, THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY GOLDEN RULE IS TO FIGHT AGAINST ANY KIND OF SOCIAL DEMOCRACY.

THE SCOTS HAVE BEEN VERY PATIENT AND PUT UP WITH THE SOCIAL INJUSTICES AND THE RULE OF MILLIONAIRES, A KIND OF OLIGARCHY BY THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY. THEY SAY THAT THEY ARE FED UP, THE UK IS HOPELESS AND JUST SEE NO OTHER OPTION THAN LEAVE.

NOBODY CAN BLAME THEM BECAUSE THEY HAVE WAITED FOR CENTURIES FOR THE UNITED KINGDOM TO MAKE AMENDS. IT HASN'T.

THE PEOPLE OF ENGLAND CARRY ON ELECTING THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY, OR CALL THEM THE TORIES IF YOU WANT, WHICH IS A RIGHT WING PARTY HELL BENT ON MAKING LAWS THAT ONLY CATER FOR MILLIONIARES. SCOTLAND DOES NOT LIKE THAT. THEY WANT OPPORTUNITIES FOR EVERYBODY AND NOT ONLY FOR THE BUNCH OF OXBRIDGED.PRIVILEDGED TORIES.

THEREFORE, WHY SHOULD THE PEOPLE OF SCOTLAND SUFFER THE POLICIES OF A PARTY THAT THEY NEVER VOTE FOR AND NEVER ELECT?

LOOKING AT THIS FROM ANOTHER ANGLE, IT'S NOT THE SCOTS THAT ARE FILING FOR DIVORCE, THEY HAVE BEEN PUSHED INTO IT BY THE RIGHT WING ENGLAND THAT HAVE BEEN VOTING ALL THE TIME THE TORIES INTO GOVERNMENT.

WE IN MOZAMBIQUE HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING EUROPEAN POLITICS FOR A WHILE BECAUSE WE ARE INTERESTED IN IT. MOZAMBIQUE IS NOW A COMMONWEATH MEMBER, AND FOR THIS REASON WE HAVE A SPECIAL INTEREST IN THE UNITED KINGDOM FORM OF GOVERNMENT.

WE HAVE FOUND THAT IN CONTINENTAL EUROPE, GENERAL ELECTIONS ARE WON WHEN PARTIES OPERATE AROUND THE CENTRE RIGHT OR CENTRE LEFT, BUT NOT AT THE FAR END OF THE SPECTRUM.

THE UNITED KINGDOM MUST BE THE ONLY COUNTRY WHERE A KIND OF FAR RIGHT PARTY, THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY, WINS THE ELECTION AND IS ASKED TO FORM GOVERNEMENT VERY OFTEN. IT IS THEN A PARTY OF GOVERNMENT AND SO IS THE LABOUR PARTY.

WHY IS THAT? IS IT BECAUSE THE PEOPLE OF ENGLAND ARE RIGHT WING BIGOTS BY NATURE, OR IS IT BECAUSE MOST OF THE WRITTEN PRESS IS RIGHT WIND AND BRAINWASHES THEM? IT COULD BE, BECAUSE NOT EVERYBODY ARE MILIONAIRES, FAR FROM THAT.

THERE IS DEFINITELY A PROBLEM AT THIS LEVEL AND THE SCOTS DO NOT WANT TO BE PART OF THAT.

THE POLLS SHOW THAT THE YES AND NO ARE NECK AND NECK. HAVE THEY BEEN TELLING THE TRUTH? WE DO NOT KNOW. TOO MUCH IS AT STAKE AND WE WOULDN'T PUT ANY DIRTY TRICK PAST THE POLLSTERS. WE WILL SEE TOMORROW THURSDAY 18 SEP 2014 IF THE POLLS HAVE BEEN RIGHT AND FAIR OR IF THEY HAVE SCREWD UP.

WHEN WE LOOK AT THE TRACK RECORD OF ALEX SALMOND, THE SCOTTISH FIRST MINISTER, WE NOTICE THAT HE IS A GOOD SPRINTER. NOBODY PREDICTED THAT HIS SNP WOULD GET A MAJORITY AT HOLYROOD: IT DID.

NOW THEY SAY THAT THE YES CAMPAIGN CONDUCTED BY HIS PARTY, THE SNP, IS THE UNDERDOG, BUT WE WOULDN'T BE SURPRISED IF THEY SNATCHED A MAJORITY AND MADE SCOTLAND AND INDEPENDENT COUNTRY.

WHY DOES THE TORY PARTY SAY THAT SCOTLAND WON'T EASILY BECOME AN EU MEMBER , WHEN THE TORY PARTY THEMSELVES WANT TO LEAVE THE EU? WHAT WOULD BE THE FRUSTRATION OF SCOLTAND IF THE UK LEFT THE EUROPEAN UNION, WHEM WE KNOW THAT THE SCOTS ARE PRO-EUROPEANS? THE TORIES ARE NOT. THEY FUNDAMENTALISTS, RADICAL ISOLATIONISTS.

WE BELIEVE THAT IF SCOTLAND BECAME INDEPENDENT, IT WOULDN'T NEED TO APPLY FOR MEMBERSHIP BECAUSE SCOTLAND IS ALREADY IN. IT MEETS MORE THAN THE CRITERIA REQUIRED FOR A FULL AND MATURE MEMBER. ALL THAT HAS BEEN SAID ABOUT KEEPING SCOTLAND OUT OF THE EU IS DOWNRIGHT BULSHIT.

SCOTAND WOULD BE WELCOMED IN THE EU THE FOLLOWING DAY AND WOULD MAKE A MUCH BETTER CONTRIBUTION TO THE EU THAN THE UNTED KINGDOM, WHEN THE TORIES ARE AT WHEEL OF THE UNITED KINGDOM: THEY ARE ALWAYS BRAINWASHING THE POPULATION AGAINST THE EU, MOANING ABOUT SOMETHING AND PUTTING A SPANNER IN THE WORKS. WE KNOW WHAT THEY ARE UP TO AND HAVE SAID THAT LOADS OF TIMES.

The Kremlin is a very different seat of power from 10 Downing Street, the Elysee Palace or the Washington White House.

The word Kremlin means "fortress".

For hundreds of years, that is exactly what it has been, with high walls, towers and a moat; besieged by foreign invaders, from the Polish army in the early 17th Century, to Napoleon 200 years later.

Today there are no foreign armies knocking at the gates.

Yet once again the Kremlin feels threatened.

Whether these are phantom fears or grounded in reality, they are fuelling a siege mentality at the heart of Russian power - one which is dictating Kremlin policy on Ukraine and on the West.

"Putin sincerely believes that 'Orange Revolutions' in Ukraine were instigated by the US State Department and that Kiev's Association Agreement with the European Union is an EU conspiracy to take dominance of Ukraine," says political analyst Andrei Piontkovsky.

"He hates the West for it and despises it."

This week, one of Russia's most popular newspapers, Komsomolskaya Pravda, published an article entitled, "America is tightening the Anaconda Loop around Russia".

In the piece, a Russian military analyst claimed that Washington's geopolitical doctrine was geared to squeezing Moscow into submission like a great snake.

He argued that the collapse of the Warsaw Pact and the USSR were the first two American "snake loops" around Moscow.

"Now," he concluded, "they want to build on their success by dragging Ukraine from Russia".

"The American end game is quite clear: it's global domination," claims the pro-Kremlin MP Vyacheslav Nikonov.

"The way to achieve that is to prevent the emergence of centres of power that can challenge this global domination. Russia looks more and more like a rising centre of power. So the end game is to weaken Russia."

Breakdown of trust

When Vladimir Putin came to power 15 years ago, the language coming out of Moscow was very different.

In March 2000, Mr Putin invited then British Prime Minister Tony Blair to St Petersburg and praised him as a "wonderful partner".

A few days earlier, in a BBC interview, the Russian leader had even raised the possibility of Russia joining Nato.

"I don't see why not," Mr Putin had said, "I would not rule out such a possibility... if, and when, Russia's views are taken into account as those of an equal partner."

Since then, Moscow believes its views have been ignored.

Nato maintains that the alliance's eastward enlargement in Europe has helped spread freedom, peace and stability across Europe.

The view from Moscow has been rather different.

The Kremlin has watched Nato moving closer and closer to Russia's border.

"It is part of Putin's mind, he is afraid of this," believes Sergei Aleksashenko, a former deputy finance minister in the Russian government.

"He believes the enlargement of Nato has changed the geopolitical balance in Europe and creates more dangers for Russia.

"We may disagree with those views, but if Russia's leader is afraid, that means no-one in the West was able to explain to him it is not true or reach agreement.

"It is very easy to blame Putin himself and call him paranoid, but politics is a game for two people, for two sides."

Instruments of power

Yet Western leaders believe it is the other way round, that it is the Russian president who has changed the geopolitical balance in Europe, by annexing Crimea and by fomenting unrest in eastern Ukraine.

They fear that President Putin's policy on Ukraine is creating huge dangers for Europe.

In this atmosphere of mutual finger-pointing there now appears to be a total lack of trust between Moscow and the West.

A senior Russian foreign policy strategist with close links to the Kremlin told me there were no Western politicians President Putin felt comfortable negotiating with on Ukraine.

He claimed that the Kremlin had warned the West "dozens of times" not to meddle in Ukraine, but that all of Moscow's warnings went ignored.

"I can't see anybody now in Russia or in the West who could stop this," he concluded.

President Barack Obama has accused Russia of a "brazen assault" on Ukraine.

There is growing evidence of direct Russian military involvement in the conflict there.

What is President Putin hoping to achieve?

"His ultimate objective is his presidency for life. So, Ukraine has no right to become a democratic, economically open state. From Putin's point of view, that would create a very bad example for Russia," believes Andrei Piontkovsky.

He predicts the Kremlin will try to "freeze" the conflict in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions in such a way as to leave Kiev weak and Moscow strong.

"If these two regions were given a special status within Ukraine, they would become Putin's instrument of destabilisation of Ukraine, his instrument for shackling Ukraine in certain geopolitical limits, like Trans-Dniester in Moldova or South Ossetia and Abkhazia in Georgia."

How will the Kremlin respond to more Nato troops and equipment in former Soviet bloc countries?

"In political gambling, Putin respects only brutal force," says Sergei Aleksashenko.

"He does not believe in win-win solutions. He believes that in political life there is only win or lose.

"If he believes Nato bases in the Baltic or Eastern Europe will be a danger to Russia, he will find some opposite decision.

412 MUITO MARCAR PASSO E CÉU CINZENTO

Bem, nós aqui em Moçambique estamos mais ou menos abrigados das vossas maluqueiras na Europa. mas sempre pode aqui pousar algum míssem que perdeu o azimute tal qual prerderam os Russos e andam a combater na Ucrânia pensando que andam em exercícios militares dentro da Rossya.

A intervenção aberta e descarada do exército russo contra as forças militares da Ucrânia mostra o fracasso da política do grupinho de militaristas que rodeiam Putin e nostálgicos da falsa glória do sovietismo.

Esse conselho pseudo-nacionalista pensava que iriam facilmente colocar um governo fantoche na região leste da Ucrânia, mas saiu o tiro pela culatra. Revelou-se manifesto que simples operações de comandos ---- armados até aos dentes, com mísseis anti-aéreos às costas abaixo e com o cano a coçar-lhes o cu ---- não estavam a conseguir o objetivo e estavam já cercados pelo exército Ucraniano e a morrer de fome e do fogo dos canhões.

Putin então teve mesmo de intervir diretamente enviando colunas de tanques para socorrer os comando russos infiltrados na Ucrânia desde o início do conflito. Porque ali não há praticamente forças locais nenhumas, só se andarem por lá a dar lustro às botas dos soldados russos ou carregados com papel higiénico.

Putin não tem interesse nenhum em proteger as populações de origem russa. Essa gente nessas posições têm outros objetivos e para os atingir não se preocupam com matanças de milhares ou milhões de pessoas. Essa gente é hiperativa, uma corja de psicopatas, decifrado, gente maluca à solta nas ruas.

Se Putin estivesse interessado em protger esses falantes de língua russa tê-los-ia evacuado para a Rossya e seria o fim da discussão. Nem sequer teria provocado e alimentado o desavença desde o primeiro dia.

Os russos dessa região da Ucrânia até estavam a fugir para a Rússia e nisto o presidente viu o perigo da sua política, porque não é isso que ele esperava. Se as pessoas de fala russa evacua a Ucrânia, então já não haveria razão da Rússia querer ocupar essa região. Não faria sentido!

Os Ucranianos também viram isso e então lançarar muito tiro de canhão por engano para as casas justamente para as fazer fugir para as terras de Putim para este as proteger lá. Então o spresidente russo foi obrigado a estudar novamente o assunto e não viu outra opção que a de intervir em força e rapidamente antes que a população russa fuja toda da região leste da Ucrânia.

E depois daquilo estar tudo vazio, ou terem lá ficado três ou quatro gatos coxos, qual seria a desculpa e legitimidade para ocupar essas terras onde tudo terá sido sido estourado?

Desfecho da tragédia

Aquilo terá certamente um fim, não está longe. No entanto, antes disso acontecer, essa região ainda será palco de muito drama, sofrimento, angústia para muita gente, mortes de pessoas que serão sempre um vazio nas famílias que cá ficam a rezar por eles. Nada mais voltarão.

Depois não faltarão monumentos aos mortos e excursões a esses locais dessas catásfores causadas por malucos, cerimónias militares, flores e diabos a quatro. Mas não pensaram ajuizadamente antes de deizarem chacinar essa gente. E chamam-lhe heróis, morreram pela pátria. Nada disso! Morreram devido às maluqueiras megalómanas de dirigentes embriegados pelo poder.

Só que essas pessoas perderam as vidas, sofreram muito e nada as trará de volta. A vida é algo de precioso, leva tanto tempo a criar e são fontes de alegria paras as famíias e amigos. Mas foram raptados pela guerra estúpida provocada por esses malucos megalómanos que pensam que têm pensamentos superiores, nacionalistas, quanto eles não são mais do tarados mentais, mas com muito poder nas mãos para causar muita desgraça na humanidade.

Putim põe e dispõe -- atiçado pelos seus pseudo-estrategas -- como ditador, praticamente sem forças de oposição e sobretudo com uma imprensa oprimida e as jornalistas a temer pela própria vida. Já apareceram por lá algumas atfogadas e ninguém sabe quem foi, ou sabem.

Por agora tem morrido por lá muito soldado russo nas terras da Ucrânia. E as famílias recebem os sacos com body bags mas diz a imprensa que os enterram secretamente. Mas os enterros secretos deixarão de ser muito secretos quando eles começarem por lá a cair às centenas. Veremos em seguida a reação da população Russa.

Depois vamos ver a que ponto Putim irá gerir a sua posição ou a sua queda. Até poderá acabar como Hitler ou como Sadam Hussain condenado por crimes contra o seu próprio povo. A Rússia é um país de surpresas, mas não é de modo algum um país do terceiro mundo. É um país desenvolvido com muita gente altamente educada os quais Putim não conseguirá enganar com os seu nacionalismo guerreiro e estreito. Ele que veja onde mete os pés.

Enquanto negar a presença das hostes russas, quando toda a gente sabe que a Rússia está em guerra real contra a Ucrânia, Putim pensa que ninguém terá legitimidade par ajudar abertamente a Ucrânia. E pensa esmagá-la e continuar a dizer que aquilo é obra dos separatistas locais.

Putim e Labrove pensam que são inteligentes e os outros são otários. Aquilo que estes tipos estão fazendo é tão grosseiro que até dá nojo.

Agora até já encomendaram uniformes brancos à Nike nas sweat shops do Bangladesh para disfarçar um batalhão de totós em soldadinhos de paz armados até aos dentes e despachar para Ucrânia também em camiões branquinhos com o verde escuro já a parecer por baixo. Aquilo é que vai ser tiro aos pombinhos branquinhos!

Obviamente que forças estrangeiras irão intervir e mandar mais uns russos para os cemitérios secretos da Rossya. E nós dizemos que isso é mesmo dramático. Porque quando a guerra terminar volta tudo à mesma, nada mudará muito quanto ao fundo, embora hajam alterações na forma. Só que morrem, russos e ucranianos, nunca mais voltarão, e isso é mesmo muito triste. E essa gente faz muita falta às famílias.

O problema que Putim não quer ver é que enquanto ele compara o cerco de Donetsk ao cerco de Estalingrado, os resto do mundo compara a invasão ddo Leste da Ucrânia à invasão da Suddetenland por Hitler.

E isso não passará porque depois depois da Ucrânia será vez da Letónia, da Lituânia e tudo ali em volta onde o Joseph Estalino plantou russinhos para o Putim acionar agora por controle remoto, uma verdadeira bomba de relógio do Estino quinta coluna espanhola.

As forças militares russas, embora tenham evoluído muito, mas ainda não estão à altura de enfrentar o ocidente. Obviamente que quando a intervenção de ajuda direta à Ucrânia for acionada, isso terá de ser com força proporcional por razões que não adiataremos aqui.

O Ocidente sabe o que se está passando no terreno, e não faltam estragemas, planos A, B, C e sabemos lá que mais. Muito jogo nos bastidores enquanto que desgraçados morrem dos dois lados no terreno.

Infelizmente, as intervenções para parar guerras só são acionadas depois do mal estar feito, quer dizer, ter morrido nos palcos de gerra gente às tonoladas.

Gente mesmo doida! Párem com isso e deixem as populações viver em paz e sossego.

411 UK 224 MILHÕES A SAIR DO BoLSO DO TAX PAYER

Eh pá isso é que é esbanjar caroço aí no REINO UNIDO, a pagar milhões de indemnização a uma empresa Americana -- a RAYTHEON -- com contrato para a informatizar o SEF Inglês.

Falam em 224 Milhões, mas ninguém sabe ao certo, porque são muitos zeros e cifrões e as pessoas baralham tudo. Lol.

So que aquilo, segundo o Governo UK, não estava a dar nada, certamente com as fronteiras tão furadas como antes e despediram a empresa Yankee. Só que estes não gostaram das brincadeira e lançaram uma ação no Tribunal a pedir uma indemnização da altura do Shard aí em London Bridge.

Agora é o contribuinte a pagar pelos erros das chefias. É sempre assim. Se aempresa ganhou tanto de indemnização é porque o processo e provas do Governo ão seria muito consitente. Então que tipo de aconselhamento foi dado pelos Gúrus da Teresa Maio. Quanto ganham estes? Milhões também!

Ou será que a Teresa Maio não gosta da cor da empresa e quer meter outra mais azul? Quem sabe. Há tanta curva nos bastidores, um verdadeiro labirinto, e é muito complicado chegar a uma verdade aproximada.

Home Office ordered to pay £224m to e-Borders firm

The Home Office has been told to pay £224m to a major US corporation it sacked for failing to deliver a controversial secure borders programme.

Ministers will pay Raytheon £50m in damages, plus other costs.

The order to make the payments comes from a binding arbitration tribunal. Home Affairs Committee chairman Keith Vaz called it a "catastrophic result".

The e-Borders programme launched by Labour in 2003 was a £1bn attempt to reform border controls.

In 2007 Raytheon won a nine-year contract for the programme.

Former Prime Minister Tony Blair launched the e-borders programme to improve security

Three years later, the coalition government terminated the contract with the US defence corporation, after claiming it was failing.

It said it had lost confidence in Raytheon to deliver the programme after it fell a year behind schedule.

Raytheon threatened to sue ministers for £500m, blaming the UK Border Agency for the failings, before the two sides entered into binding arbitration to reach a settlement.

In its ruling, the arbitration tribunal did not pass judgement on whether Raytheon had failed to meet its contractual obligations - but it criticised UKBA officials for failing to properly brief the home secretary on whether the company had an arguable case to hold on to the deal.

The full ruling has not been made public, but the tribunal said the Home Office should make the following payments to Raytheon:

£50m in damages for ending the contract
£126m for assets the company delivered prior to being sacked, such as IT systems
£10m to settle complaints relating to changes to the original contract
£38m in interest payments

In a letter to the chairman of the cross-party Home Affairs Committee, Home Secretary Theresa May says: "The government stands by the decision to end the e-Borders contract with Raytheon. This decision was, and remains, the most appropriate action to address the well-documented issues with the delivery and management of the programme.

"The situation the government inherited was therefore a mess with no attractive options. All other alternatives available to the government would have led to greater costs than the result of this Tribunal ruling."

Mrs May is writing to the National Audit Office to ask it review how the e-borders scheme was managed from its inception.

'Repudiated'

The Home Office's permanent secretary Mark Sedwill will also investigate the advice that senior immigration officials gave to ministers when the decision was taken terminate the contract.

In a statement to the New York Stock Exchange, Raytheon said: "The arbitration tribunal found that the Home Office had unlawfully terminated [the company] for default in 2010 and therefore had repudiated the e-borders contract.

"The Tribunal denied all Home Office claims for damages and clawback of previous payments. The Tribunal's ruling confirms that [Raytheon] delivered substantial capabilities to the UK Home Office under the e-borders program."

Mr Vaz, a Labour MP, said: "This is a catastrophic result. Minister after minister and successive heads of the UKBA told the select committee that the government was the innocent party and that Raytheon had failed to deliver.

He added: "It is now clear that the UKBA didn't know what they wanted from the e-Borders programme."

Mr Vaz also said: "It is important that those who have responsibility should be held to account for failing the taxpayer in such a costly way."

A new version of the e-borders programme is still being developed, although one of its key functions - advanced checks on arriving passengers - is already partially in operation. The original plan had been for the system to be fully operational by March of this year.
